Ganesh Rasik to perform at Paleti

Preparations for the eighth round of the Paleti Series have been completed. Renowned Musician and Singer Ganesh Rasik will be performing at the eighth Paleti of 2006.

Ganesh Rasik is a well-known figure in the Nepali music scene. Ganesh Rasik is a musician of the 'Ralfa' era. Before becoming a part of 'Ralfa', Rasik was more into writing then in music. However, 'Ralfa' made him inseparable to music. After 'Rafla', he was involved with 'Lekali'. During that time, both these music groups had created new waves in the field of Nepali music.

During his association with 'Lekali', Rasik created songs of various styles. He was skilled in adding music to folk, modern and poetic words and had many popular songs. Songs like 'Dherai Samjhe Dherai Huncha' and 'Gharbeti Nani Anganma Deu Na Malai Baas' established Rasik as a successful musician. Songs like Hussule Chopeko Sahar Nepalma Janmabhai Nepali Huneharu, Nun Jasto Bilne Masanga Euta Tara Cha' that carry his music are also equally popular.

Rasik will be singing his same creations at the Paleti Series to be held on August 25 and 26.

'By taking part in Paleti, I will be trying recall my past. It is a unique opportunity for every artist to sing directly before the audience who enjoy music. I am also rehearsing with a wish to enjoy that very opportunity', says Rasik, while rehearsing the song Meri Simma for Paleti.'
